Photo of Me

I'm an incoming software engineer at Amazon with an interest in Full Stack technology as well as data science. Apart from tech, I love photography, playing drums and playing tennis.

I’m a current Master's of Engineering Student at Cornell University, studying Computer Science in the scope of Machine Learning, Data Science and Software Engineering. My undergraduate education was at Tufts University, where I majored in Computer Science and Quantitative Economics. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity in interning and developing production software in notable companies and learning the accompanying business processes. My interests lie with Machine Learning and Data Science, and the vast number of global applications these skills may be applied to improve the lives of people and organizations.

I do stuff

Aside from activities like playing with my dog, and the ones shown on my resume, I have interests that I have retained throughout my life that have helped shaped me to who I am today (see cards). Apart from these, I've been trying new activities such as running and writing Medium articles.

Tennis

Tennis

Tennis has been an interest of mine since I was young! I held a national ranking, played starting singles at my high school and participated in numerous USTA tournaments. During my undergraduate studies at Tufts, I played as the starting singles at the club tennis team, even bringing the team to Nationals one year. As president of the club tennis team during my senior year, I displayed leadership, teamwork, persistence and empathy. I organized and led tryouts for 150+ students, created drills for the team to improve technically and tactically, as well as coordinated numerous events from tournaments to team bonding activities.

One way I channel my creativity is through photography. The photo of water shown as well as the photo above are only some of the many photos I've taken (More photos to be displayed on website soon)! I've hosted multiple photo shows as well as won awards such as the National Silver Medal for Photography from Scholastic Arts and Writing, and was a YoungArts Winner in 2016.
As a photographer, I believe that the scenes people pass every day are underappreciated. I aim to shoot pictures to expose the unique characteristics within a scene: texture, shape, color, contrast and structure. By pointing out the fascinating qualities of the seemingly mundane, I hope to offer viewers a new perspective of their surroundings.

Music

Whether it be listening to 300+ hours of music on Spotify per year, trying to build a Machine Learning Classifier to identify the next big hit (article to come!) or playing an instrument, I've always loved music! My instrument of choice is Drums, and I've been part of jazz bands, classically trained orchestras and rock groups. Above is a drum cover of Everlong by Foo Fighters!
